In the late 1800, this area was used for mining mostly silver and copper. The ores were transported by rail to Everett WA and from this port town were shipped to its processing destinations. The locals say that the railroad track passed through our current property where houses our B&B. However there is no more reminiscence of the railroad track on our property. For that you can visit the Robe Valley hiking trail at about one mile west of our B&B. On this trail you can see the train tunnels and some remaining railroad . In the late 1900 the Mountain Loop Highway was constructed first for logging transport and then as a major highway visited by thousands of visitors annually. They mostly come to visit the rich and amazing tails to mountains, lakes and forests.
